THE SMALL OLD KINGDOM OF SOMNAIRE is an odd little place.

A minuscule corner of land. A slender tract of earth between more profitable claims. Barely worthy of the status of county, be it in any other nation.

And yet a century or maybe a millennium ago, it held within its borders a swath of enigmatic people and so strangely shifting spaces. Some are still there.
