The Light in the Fridge
A downloadable one-page RPG
It’s night, and the humans have gone to sleep. Years ago, a particularly enterprising soda bottle worked with the plastic cutlery from a leftover take-out order to jury rig the refrigerator light to stay on, even when the door is shut. In the time since, the food and packaging of the fridge have led full lives of their own, mostly at night outside of the prying eyes of their owners/eaters. Now, the old bottle’s fix is failing, and the light is flickering…
Two things:
- You are a leftover, a lost piece of half-eaten food, on the bottom shelf of the fridge.
- You and your friends have just one night to fix the light and keep your little world from falling into perpetual darkness.
The Light in the Fridge is a one-page roleplaying game written by Christian Sorrell, heavily inspired by Grant Howitt's Honey Heist. The game was created in less than 24 hours as part of a larger writing challenge. Enjoy!
